While in San Vito, in Costa Rica’s Southern Zone, we stayed in one of the finest hotels in the country for only $65/night (low season rate) plus tax . We couldn’t believe it. Cascata Del Bosco would be at least $200 on the Gold Coast or in Escazu. It wasn’t even just a room. It was an 500 square foot cabin surrounded by natural beauty all around, complete with a kitchenette and huge bathroom. I felt like we stumbled into the lap of luxury for $65 a night. It included breakfast too. What a great find! We could definitely see why Cascata Del Bosco received such glowing reviews on Trip Advisor.
Plus, it’s only a 40-minute car drive to the Rio Sereno Border Crossing to Panama and only about 4 miles to Panama as the crow flies. So, if you are one of those folks who need to exit the country every 90 days, we recommend you stay at Cascata Del Bosco in San Vito. The border crossing is not crowded so getting your passport stamped is a breeze. And George, one of the owners, has done it every 3 months for 15 years, so he can explain exactly what to do. You’ll be back at the hotel in a matter of hours.
You’ve got to see this place to believe it. The 500 sq. foot cabin, one of the best restaurants in the area, the friendly service —what a deal! Each of their four cabins offer queen size beds, hot water, WiFi, satellite TV, large bathrooms, and kitchenette. Best of all, they each have a private terrace surrounded by lush greenery. You will feel like you are in the middle of the jungle. Breakfast is included and each of the cabins are handicapped accessible.
When you make your reservation at Cascata Del Bosco, be sure to ask for your 10% “Retire for Less” discount being offered to our readers.
We’re going to be taking our Costa Rica vacations in the Southern Zone from now on, and if available, we will stay at Cascata Del Bosco in San Vito.
