George Lundquist’s tour, “Retire in Costa Rica on Social Security” was terrific! My wife and I often say, “It’s the best money we ever spent!” Before making the decision to take his tour in January, we saw a video of George describing the reaction of previous tour guests. He said that once they visit Costa Rica, most of them can’t wait to live and retire there, and we were no exception. George knew how we would react to the tour even before we took it!
First of all, the tour, in his comfortable 22-passenger bus (he limits the number of guests to 12), with his trusty driver Oscar, is a bargain. The cost includes hotels, transportation, meals, drinks, snacks, as well as his eleven years of accumulated knowledge about Costa Rica and the real estate scene there. [Note: the price for his 2-day, 1-night tour is $650 for a couple or $550 for a single.] One of the most important aspects of the tour is the “gringo parties” where you meet people like yourself, who are in different stages of moving to and retiring in Costa Rica. His itinerary is compact, going from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily. George packs more into every day than you can imagine. He leaves you tired, but wanting more.
He whets your appetite for Costa Rica, taking you to many Central Valley towns that are popular with Expats, introducing you to some of his “benchmarks:” Attorney, Accountant, Dentist, Pharmacist, rental homes, custom homes, and developers. You see raw land, homes in progress, and finished products. Along the way are some of the best views Costa Rica has to offer. What a great experience!
